Fences that keep livestock are often electrified, so when the DCI touched the fence to confirm his suspicions his next step was to locate the wire that ran from the fence buried underneath the cargo net, that the deceased would have been within inches when he crawled on the ground and that could have had a sufficient electrical field to potentially disrupt the deceased’s pacemaker.
