Joe must be the murderer – Since he said that Barbara was telling the truth something he would not know if he wasn’t the murderer; only one of the statements of Bob and John could be correct as they are contradictory; and where Frank’s statement could not be correct as otherwise either Barbara’s or Joe’s statements would be incorrect which is not possible since they are both consistent with each other; and if Frank’s statement stating Joe was not the murderer is incorrect, then Joe is the murderer.
