On a stormy, dark night, Martin, who lived at 300th Puzzle Road invited his friends to a friendly game of poker. His friends put their money on the table and then lights went out as the storm became fierce. When the lights came back on, all the money was gone.
Martin wanted to know who amongst his friends was a thief. He put a chicken in an old rusty bucket and told everyone to line up and touch the bucket one at a time when he turned off the lights. He said the chicken would cluck when the thief touched it. After everyone touched it, the chicken did not cluck. Martin then asked everyone to hold out their hands so he could see them. Martin pointed out who the thief was.

The bucket was rusty who whoever touched it would have had rust on their hands. The thief did not touch the bucket because he was afraid that the chicken would cluck if he did so. He was the only one that did not have rust on his hands.
