Puzzle (Answer below)
You have been kidnapped and placed in a concrete room with a locked steel door. There is a large window in the room from where you can see the outside, but it’s too high for you to reach to open it. You found a trap door in the floor, with steps leading down into a basement earthen room that has a shovel in it. What is the easiest way for you to escape?

Answer
You could try to use the shovel to force the door or tunnel out from the basement, but both alternatives are not certain of success. You could try to stand on the shovel to access the window but this could be dangerous, if you were strong enough you could move the stairs from the basement to the window, or you could wait until someone came and hit them with the shovel but no one may show and you may not be successful in incapacitating your captors. Instead you could simply dig enough dirt from the basement to put under the window so that you could reach it to escape!
